Who'll be our baby of the year?

DOTING parents brought along their photogenic boys and girls to the Galleries shopping centre to be pictured for the Post's Baby of the Year contest.

The Post has a stall at the shopping centre in Broadmead for the next two weeks and is inviting mums and dads to bring their little ones along to be photographed for the competition.

This year's cash prizes in the competition are bigger than ever.

The family of the winner of this year's competition will take home a prize of £1,500 and the winners of the three other categories £500 each.

The Post will have a stand in the shopping centre between 10am and 4.30pm from Monday to Saturday and on Sundays between 11am and 4pm.

Readers who want their children to take part in the photo competition can just go along with their baby or toddler to the Post stand on the ground floor of the Galleries.

Professional photographers will take pictures of the youngsters, free of charge.

Parents will also have the opportunity to purchase images of their child.

Readers will be asked to vote for their favourite child when a special supplement is published in the Post on Tuesday, October 23, featuring pictures of all the babies in the running for the prize.

Readers who buy the Post will then have until Tuesday, November 8 to vote for their favourite toddler or baby.

As well as an overall winner there will also be four winners in four different age groups which are: up to nine months, ten to 18 months, 19 to 36 months and finally three to five years.

Last year's overall winner was Harley Clark from Hengrove, who is now a bouncing two-year-old.

He toddled off with the main prize after more than 80,000 votes were cast by our readers.
