spend money on care homes not the Olympics

HOW many millions have been spent on the Olympics? If a fraction of this had been spent on looking after people with learning difficulties, Winterbourne View would not have happened.

This is the same group of citizens that this Government has now seen fit to throw in the gutter by cutting back on their benefits that they need to achieve a decent standard of living.

Stop wasting my taxes on the already fit and try helping those that need support to lead a decent life in a decent society. You voted for this. They pay for it by being sentenced to places like Winterbourne View. Do you, the voter, care?

VISITORS to friends/ relatives in nursing homes ar e initially told 'access any time', 'ring up and we'll take a 'phone to them' etc. All seems welcoming.

There appears to be reliance on visitors 'dropping off'. Residents soon get cut off from people they really want to see or hear from. Please persevere in making contact. Loved ones do want to see and hear from us.
